The team was defeated in the semi-finals but ended up winning the bronze medal after beating Tribe Gaming 2-1 in the third-place playoff

Close, but no cigar!  After an incredible journey, overcoming countless opponents from all over the world, the moment of truth arrived, and the top 8 teams were brought together to compete in Hamburg.

Supercell and ESL have organised an absolutely unique event, focusing on Clash of Clans and with a great organisation and production behind the event. The teams had everything at their disposal for a great weekend.

And that’s how it went, despite the defeat in the semi-finals the players from Team Queso leave Germany extremely proud and having given everything in an unforgettable experience.

The quarter-final match was spectacular. Relentless offensives, three-stars victories here and there, and in the end, everything was in the hands of Oski, who chose Electro Dragons to achieve the three-stars victory that the team needed to qualify for the semi-finals. And he succeeded, Oski managed to do it once again and the team qualified for the semi-finals.

During the semi-finals, the Nova players played really well, scoring higher percentages in their attacks and also more three-stars victories. Oski’s last attack was not enough, as he needed a three-stars victory to tie the score, but it would be impossible for him to reach the average percentage that the Japanese team had achieved.

Everyone wanted a Team Queso v Tribe Gaming match in the final, but things didn’t turn out that way and we had to settle for a third-place play-off, in which Team Queso was able to emerge victorious 2-1, and claim the third place in the World Championship

Congratulations to Oski, Almualin, Maicol, Fed and Rigo for their spectacular performance and for achieving the third place and a $100,000 prize.

Congratulations to Zolokotroko also for his magnificent work as a caster for the Spanish-speaking community throughout the weekend!

See you in the village!
