Introducing Lucas Rojo, who will immediately become coach of our Fortnite team
Many of you already know him, others will get to know him from now on. Along with the players Clynt, Naranjito, Prisionero and Potato, Lucas will join Team Queso’s Fortnite team as a new coach. And let’s not forget about Colla, who is actively involved as a reserve player.
Lucas is 24 years old and is from Palma de Mallorca (Spain). He has been dedicated to eSports for more than a decade and knows this world perfectly. His beginnings were in League of Legends, where he first competed as a player, and then coached major teams such as Movistar Riders and won titles like LVP and Gamergy. You may also have heard about some TV programmes that he has been in, such as ‘Gamers’ from MTV.
After years of competing, training, analysing and enjoying eSports, it is evident that he has an acquired knowledge that will undoubtedly contribute to our Fortnite squad and Team Queso in general. Since the game came out Lucas has followed it from an analytical point of view, learning and following the competitive scene from different countries: ‘I fell in love with it, I spent a lot of time on it because I think mechanically it’s the most demanding game in a long time and it’s very enjoyable to watch.
The new coach adds: ‘I am very grateful for the opportunity that Alicia and Álvaro have given me. This means going back to training, which is something I wanted to do and on top of that, in a new game, where one has to learn new things every day. Fortunately, I have a group of exceptional players who have the potential to be among the best in the world and with an organisation like Team Queso I know we can do it.
All set for dominating the island. The players are delighted with the new coach and willing to work together. Clynt, captain of the squad, sees it clearly: ‘Lucas has a great deal of experience in high level competitive group management and that’s just what we need.
